02.12 Photo-A-Day-Challenge

I've often contemplated participating in a Photo-A-Day-Challenge but always put it off, thinking, "Oh, that's something I'll do SOMEDAY when I have a much better, more expensive, fancy-schmancy DSLR camera." But I've decided that I might as well do it now ...with my 6 year old Canon PowerShot Digital Elph. Cuz...why not? 

You see, over the years, I've found myself taking fewer and fewer photos and, especially since having our little boy 18 months ago, remembering less and less as the days pass by. I'm sorry to say I didn't take any photos at all on Christmas this year. And that's a BIG DEPRESSING FACT considering I once scrapbooked the living daylights out of each and every passing moment shared with my hubby. I even made him a Jeep scrapbook once showcasing his 13 Jeep projects. Now that's love, I tell ya!

So, what better way to turn that trend around, and make the most of the often most depressing wintery days of the year, than by taking meaningful photos each day throughout the month of February? Who knows. . .maybe my photography skills will improve (would be nice) or perhaps I'll just end up with a nice little collection of photos to remember this time in our lives.

Day 1 - Your View Today

Pretty much all day lately I've been looking at my 18 month old son, Levi, eating. Apparently he's going through a growth spurt. Here he is with a giant Graham cracker after he took a bite right out of the middle. =)

Day 2 - Words

Today I was working on financial spreadsheets for our new automotive shop. I love how my hubby writes (so cute!) so I took a pic of his notes documenting quotes he's gathered for various pieces of equipment.
